Ideas on how to use your ABC scriptures:
Memorize 1 per week with your child.
-At each meal, review the weeks verse. Parents practice reciting it as well so the kids will be encouraged that you are learning right along with them.
-Put each verse to a tune and sing together. Add motions if you like. The more senses and body parts involved, the more likely they will commit it to memory.
Review all ABC scriptures when you have a captive audience.
-While driving in the car, taking family walks or giving the kids a bath, review what you have memorized so far.
-Start with A and recite or sing all the way through. When you are done, start on the next ABC group of verses.
Use for improving handwriting with meaningful text.
-If your child needs extra practice handwriting, have them copy a verse a day for a week moving through the list as you go. Even if they aren’t memorizing the verse, it will provide easy recall & recollection for later.
