Ladies' Luncheon with Grandma Sherri...

Yesterday, the oldest girls and I traveled to Wichita for a Ladies' Luncheon with Grandma Sherri. There was a Kentucky Derby theme and we were supposed to wear hats, but we didn't have any appropriate ones, only ball caps...So, we thought we'd feel a little out of place, but the ladies were so gracious that we felt right at home. It was quite a treat to be able to spend time with James' mom and get a little glimpse into her world. She belongs to Beta Sigma Phi sorority and they get together for social events and service projects. She has made lots of good friends through her sorority over the years.

Lucy is a bunny rabbit. I always forget how much she loves salad because the others aren't crazy about it. At the luncheon, she asked if she could have a salad, and boy did she get one! It was as big as her! The food was Mediterranean and it was delicious.

After lunch, we strolled around Target and I was just sure I was going to go on a crazy spending spree since we don't have Target here in Enid. We bought 1 tee-shirt...for Shelby. I am not crazy about the new spring styles that are out right now. I guess that means I am getting old...but come on, what woman over 21 doesn't feel like an idiot wearing a romper? I guess age has made me more practical, because I just can't see the beauty or the functionality of the romper.  I feel like Shelby at age 8 would even look silly in one.

Anyway, after Target, we went back to Sherri's and got to see her freshly painted and re-roofed house. It looks amazing. The new color totally changes its appearance. She has also done a lot of landscaping and garden preparation in the backyard. I am jealous! Our time in Wichita was short, but it was sweet. I am so glad she invited us girls to join her this weekend!
